幼童二虎子因母亲生病，于破庙外拦车行乞，为车夫李七龙鞭打成伤，车中章家寨女主人云姑娘基于同情，赠二虎子玉佩一块，嘱往张家寨讨取银两，然后驰车而去。 二虎子将玉佩交给母亲，又复出行乞。回来时惊见母亲已死，玉佩失踪，遂立誓为母亲报仇。当夜张家寨为盗匪洗劫，云姑娘被杀，仅剩受伤的何公仆与幼女何慧芳。 十年后，二虎子以疤拉虎之名行侠仗义誉满江湖，到处追杀父仇人，打听玉佩下落，一日见何公仆腰悬玉佩，疑为仇家，于是夜探客栈，追问玉佩来源，两人一言不合争斗起来，何公仆不慎死于自己的刀下。疤拉虎即摘下玉佩至破庙追祷母亲。 翌日，疤拉虎往张家寨废墟，遇车夫李七龙，带往柳园何家，正值何家办丧事，才知道昨天误杀者为何公仆，深感懊悔不已。再询问玉佩之事，原来是购自于天宝银楼，于是往往银楼追查，银楼掌柜说玉佩是多年前燕麦翎卖出。疤拉虎即再拜访燕麦翎，归来后，银楼掌柜已惨遭杀害……

A love triangle of jealousy in the Parisian art scene of the 1930s is brought to life in a stylish docufiction about iconic artist and architect Eileen Gray, who built her modernist dream house on the Riviera, only to be upstaged by Le Corbusier.
Eileen Gray had a truly eminent sense of design. The Irish artist and architect created some of the most iconic furniture of the 20th century, so when she focussed her unique artistic vision on developing a house for herself on the Riviera in 1929, the result was a modernist triumph. A house and a work of art in one, overlooking the sun-sparkled infinity of the Mediterranean. The house is named E.1027, a cryptic contraction of the names of Gray and her lover, Romanian architect Jean Badovici. But when the Swiss-French star architect Le Corbusier learns of the house, he becomes obsessed – perhaps because Gray breathes light, air and soul into her building, which is not just a machine to live in. ‘E.1027 – Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea’ reconstructs the dramatic story of Gray and the house that Le Corbusier amazingly managed to convince the world he had built himself. Kevin's logging a remote timber claim high up the steep, rugged slopes of Klitsa Mountain, deep in the majestic heart of Vancouver Island. It's home to some of the best wood in the world and Kevin's making a big bet to get it. The claim has a thousand truckloads waiting for him and his first goal is to get 200 truckloads off the mountain before winter shuts him down, but the mountain won't give up without a fight. That's only his first obstacle though, as he finds out close to winter that he has to clear his whole claim, all one thousand loads, as soon as he can get back up there in the spring. He'll be stuck with millions of dollars in penalties if he can't do it. Two differences between this Austrian version and the generally available American version are immediately obvious: they differ both in their length and in the language of the intertitles. The American version is only 1,883 metres long - at 18 frames per second a difference of some 7 minutes to the Austrian version with 2,045 metres. Whereas we originally presumed only a negligible difference, resulting from the varying length of the intertitles, a direct comparison has nevertheless shown that the Austrian version differs from the American version both in the montage and in the duration of individual scenes. Yet how could it happen that the later regional distribution of a canonical US silent film was longer than the "original version"? The prevalent American version of Blind Husbands does not correspond to the version shown at the premiere of 1919. This little-known fact was already published by Richard Koszarski in 1983. The film was re-released by Universal Pictures in 1924, in a version that was 1,365 feet (416 metres) shorter. At 18 frames per second, this amounts to a time difference of 20 minutes! "Titles were altered, snippets of action removed and at least one major scene taken out entirely, where von Steuben and Margaret visit a small local chapel." (Koszarski) From the present state of research we can assume that all the known American copies of the film derive from this shortened re-release version, a copy of which Universal donated to the Museum of Modern Art in 1941. According to Koszarski the original negative of the film was destroyed sometime between 1956 and 1961 and has therefore been irretrievably lost. This information casts an interesting light on the Austrian version, which can be dated to the period between the summer of 1921 and the winter of 1922. Furthermore, the copy is some 200 metres longer than the US version of 1924. If one follows the details given by Richard Koszarski and Arthur Lennig, this means that, as far as both its date and its length are concerned, the Austrian version lies almost exactly in the middle between the (lost) version shown at the premiere and the re-released one.A large part of the additional length of the film can be traced to cuts that were made to the 1924 version in almost every shot. Koszarski describes how the beginning and the end of scenes were trimmed, in order to "speed up" the film. However, more exciting was the discovery that the Austrian version contains shots that are missing in the American one - shots/countershots, intertitles - and furthermore shows differences in its montage (i.e. the placing of the individual shots within a sequence). All this indicates that Die Rache der Berge constitutes the oldest and most completely preserved material of the film.
